Crochet wasp/hornets nest. It is believed that putting up a wasp nest decoy on your porch, or in areas around your home and garage where wasps typically build nests, can deter real wasps from building nests in the vicinity. Official studies have not really been conducted to prove this one way or the other, but many people swear by it.
This wasp/hornets nest decor is crocheted with acrylic yarn and then stuffed with recycled plastic grocery bags, so it's lightweight. Keeping it in a covered area, away from the elements, will extend the life of the decoy.
